:star:AN INTERVIEW WITH Anspire ABOUT "The Black Cat":star:

Okay! So lets get the obvious questions out of the way! What brought you to DeviantArt and what makes you stay?

I discovered dA way before I joined because I love browsing art.But when a friend asked me why I don't have an account there, I couldn't think up a logical answer so I signed up. From then I've been obsessed with it, though there were some dark art block moments when I didn't want to log in at all. I love how it always changes and how there are so many different people. And of course, it is the awesomest art site on the Internet. ;)

Very cool! So what do you tend to do around DeviantArt?

As I already said, I browse a lot. Other than that, I upload art and my novel. I really enjoy the community, so I even made a magazine about it - the first issue came out on 1st August. :)

Which brings us to our topic! :D What made you want to start doing the magazine, The Black Cat?

I want to be a journalist and this idea just popped in my head one day. So I thought "Why not?" and started asking people around. I think it turned out to be a good idea.

How did you come up with the design? Did you get a lot of help?

I got my inspiration just before I went to bed. I involuntarily spend a whole night thinking up the design and the name. I wanted to sleep, but random thoughts just kept coming. Somewhere around dawn, I heard a cat outside. Then it all came to me. I know it sounds stupid but I swear, it's all true. :D

Even though this is just the first issue, do you think you will make changes as far as content and layout?

I think I might redo the main title as I think it looks a bit amateur-ish. But I am not sure yet. The content can be changed at any time, if interesting things around dA pop up, they have to be included.

Did you work on the first issue alone or did you seek advice?

I worked entirely alone. I had to collect all the information, get permission for each and every featured piece and do it all in flash, using a tutorial. :D

I noticed that you are looking to hire a few people to help out. Do you think it will be tough to work with a group of people for the next issue?

I don't think it will, if they are open and ready to accept a different opinion. I think it will add more spirit to the magazine, as more people will put their heart in it. And after all, they will help me out, it should be even a bit easier for me. :)

Well, besides the magazine, do you have any other projects that your working on?

Only my novel "Little Did I Know..." but I don't know if this qualifies as a project.

Do you want to add anything about the magazine that may be interesting for future readers?

I just want to add that "The Black Cat" is for you, deviants. It's not created to satisfy the majority of the people on Earth but just our lovely community. I believe there are many nice and creative people out there, so I will seek them out and introduce them to you. :aww:

And on that note I think we will end the interview! Thanks so much letting me interview you and I hope that The Black Cat will be very successful with future issues!

I hope that too, the interview was so much fun :aww:

Go have a gander at her magazine!

In it you will find an interview with both Blitzwingslover and ABRZA. You will also find themed features and ads for commissioners. Enjoy!!

Well, that's all folks!!

If you enjoyed this Mystical Voyage of Beautification and want to see more :+favlove: this article! Another Voyage will be arriving in two weeks!
